# Data security using dbt cloud free version

Hi everybody.  
Currently I am using dbt cloud free form because my business scale is not large. So I have a question: “Is it safe to use the free version?”

Hope I get an answer soon. Thank you to everyone who read this article.

We can’t make that determination for you (for example if you are a healthcare org subject to HIPAA then you probably won’t be able to use the free version), but there is detail about security here:

As an example, all versions of dbt cloud - including the free Developer plan - are SOC2 compliant and subject to regular penetration tests and security reviews.
