# dbt deps fails when trying Installing projects as dbt packages

## The problem I’m having

We added the parent projects to the **packages.yml** file to include them as dependencies.  
However, when running **`dbt deps`** , we encountered an error during the installation process.

## The context of why I’m trying to do this

in the packeges.yml

- git:“https://{{ env\_var(‘dbt\_BITBUCKET\_USERNAME’) }}:{{ env\_var(‘dbt\_BITBUCKET\_PASSWORD’) }}@bitbucket.orgbitbucket.org/…org\_name/…project\_name.git”

revision: “master”

## What I’ve already tried

we tried to add to this url Environment Variables: dbt\_BITBUCKET\_USERNAME and dbt\_BITBUCKET\_PASSWORD but geting : remote: You may not have access to this repository or it no longer exists in this workspace. If you think this repository exists and you have access, make sure you are authenticated.
