# Run specific freshness tests

## The problem I’m having

I would like to run subsets of freshness and data tests for each department and notify that department via slack if the tests or freshness checks fail

## The context of why I’m trying to do this

Each department is responsible for their source data and they need to be notified in a timely and department specific manner

## What I’ve already tried

dbt source freshness

Runs all the source tests

What are you using to run dbt? You can select a subset of sources to snapshot using [standard selection syntax](https://docs.getdbt.com/reference/commands/source#specifying-sources-to-snapshot)
