Question
This isn’t really looking for help but I’m noticing, at least on databricks, when I try to do a snapshot I get .
[UC_COMMAND_NOT_SUPPORTED] Creating a persistent view that references both Unity Catalog and Hive Metastore objects is not supported in Unity Catalog
That specifically is a known issue and I know how to solve it in databricks, but that makes me think that they’re views. Which doesn’t make sense if the data I’m snapshotting is a full refresh and the data that changes won’t exist anymore. I haven’t tried digging through the code yet but just wondering if anyone can help me make sense of that.
